2 New Hyundai Cars Ready To Launch In July, 2020

In coming weeks, the South Korean carmaker will launch two new cars including the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift and the Hyundai Venue iMT variant. While the updated Tucson is ready to hit roads on coming 14th July, the new Venue model has also been confirmed for this month. Talking about the Tucson facelift, the SUV has received noticeable changes inside and out along with the BS6-compliant powertrains.

The SUV’s engine setup includes the BS6-compliant version of the 2.0L turbo diesel and 2.0L naturally-aspirated petrol unit making power worth 182bhp with 400Nm and 150bhp with 192Nm respectively. Both engines are paired to a torque converter automatic gearbox. While the petrol model continues to come with a 6-speed transmission, the diesel gets an all-new 8-speed automatic gearbox. The top-end GLS diesel variant is exclusively offered with AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.

2020 Hyundai Tucson Bookings

The 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift carries a larger cascading grille, updated bumper and full LED headlamps upfront. The newly-designed alloy wheels and a refreshed tail further mark a distinction. Inside, the SUV gets a newly-designed dashboard hosting a free-standing 8.0-inch touchscreen with revised centre console and new AC vents. The new infotainment unit now has Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite.  Features such as a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger and an 8-way electrically adjustable passenger seat are new additions to the model lineup.

The second Hyundai model to launch in July is the new Hyundai Venue iMT variant. The carmaker says that the iMT (intelligent manual transmission) gearbox technology is ‘first-in-industry’ combining the excitement of manual gearbox and ease of automatic transmission. It’s a two-pedal, clutch-less system that will be made available with the 120bhp, 1.0L direct-injection, turbo petrol engine.

BS6 Hyundai Venue Prices

The 1.0L T-GDI motor with manual gearbox is offered in three trims – S, SX and SX (O) – cost between Rs 8.46 lakh – Rs 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The turbo-petrol DCT automatic combo is available in the S and SX+ trims, which are priced at Rs 9.60 lakh and Rs 11.51 lakh respectively (all, ex-showroom). Price of the Hyundai Venue iMT variant is likely to fall in between these two.
