The very first Aston Martin motorcycle has entered the next phase of development as the British marquee has commenced the testing of the prototype AMB 001. Aston Martin has joined hands with Brough Superior to develop the motorcycle. The prototype was seen in action on the Pau-Arnos circuit in France.
The prototype AMB 001 was wearing with the traditional Aston Martin Camo livery. The recent test aimed to validate the motorcycle’s chassis geometry, the ergonomics and dynamic behaviour. The AMB 001 will be powered by a turbocharged, V-twin engine with a power output of 180hp.
The track-only motorcycle, which Aston Martin is developing in collaboration with Brough Superior, will be limited to just 100 units. The new AMB 001 is on schedule for first deliveries at the end of this year. Once the testing is complete the AMB 001 will go into production at the Brough Superior factory in Toulouse, France. The motorcycle will carry a premium price tag of 108,000 euros (including 20% VAT).
