Volkswagen has officially revealed the sketches of its hot selling global SUV, the Volkswagen Tiguan 2021. The vehicle which was going to be revealed in the Geneva Motor Show to be held in June this year was delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Volkswagen has however teased the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan 2021 by revealing an Official Sketch of the new vehicle.
The facelifted Tiguan 2021 will be initially launched in the US market. Volkswagen discontinued the Tiguan in India as it did not meet the BS6 norms however it launched a new long wheelbase Tiguan All Space 7-Seater variant in India at an introductory price of Rs. 33.12 Lakhs (ex-Showroom India). The new Tiguan All-Space 7 Seater comes with a 2.0 Petrol TSI Motor that produces a maximum power of 188 bhp with a torque of 320 Nm. The motor is mated to a 7-Speed DSG Gearbox that helps to provide great driving pleasure along with smooth shifts.

The New Facelifted VW Tiguan 2021 features a very sporty design as compared to its predecessor. The sketch shows some of the design element changes including the new Thin LED headlights and DRLs. The bumper design reveals Large Air Damps to give the vehicle a more sportier look. Although Volkswagen has yet not revealed any sketch of the rear of the vehicle, the fact of it being more sportier than its predecessor can not be denied for sure.
In the interior the face-lifted Volkswagen Tiguan could do away with the existing Infotainment system and have a more sophisticated button less system. It may even get a host of new features that can add to its already super large feature list. However Volkswagen has yet not revealed any details about the cabin of the vehicle.
It is very early to say whether Volkswagen will be launching the new face-lifted Tiguan in India. However seeing the Volkswagen’s focus on SUVs in India, it can be expected any time next year after the US launch.
