A 65W fast charging adapter from Xiaomi that can fill up batteries on select phones and laptops quite fast.
A Chinese giant Xiaomi previously launched its flagship Mi 10 series, along with a 65W GaN charger.
According to a report from Chinese website, a third-party security company had found a vulnerability in its 65W GaN charger.
The risk posed suggested the charger is technically vulnerable right now.
The Xiaomi 65W charger uses a rewritable eFlash / MTP chip to fix potential problems and updates the charging protocol.
However, the new format is not encrypted, leaving a backdoor for attackers to modify the protocols.
Xiaomi then pulled off the charger from the Chinese market in order to avoid further sales.
